Position:  Field Service CNC Technician

Location: East Rand

Salary: R25 000 – R40 000 depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities for this position are as follows:

• Field Service repairs to CNC, LASER and ROBOT
• Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on CNC machines.
• Maintain & strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Growing existing business through the identification of opportunities at existing customers through understanding of new applications with new technologies available
• Assist in bi-annual stock take.
• Strong fault-finding skills – electrical and mechanical.
• Must be confident. – Able to communicate professionally with customers.
• Job Requires a lot of driving - and travel on short notice. (Company car and fuel provided. )
• International travel – may be require – depending on service call.

QUALIFICATIONS

National Diploma Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics (S4+1yr practical)

             Or

 Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronic Engineering

Or

  Qualified Electrician/Millwright. 

  At least N6 Electrical/Electronic Engineering certificate from a recognised technical college.

EXPERIENCE

Experience with CNC machines (electrical/electronic/mechanical).

Knowledge of CNC machines and automated robotic arms

PLC/ladder experience (Read and understand only).

Knowledge of general factory automation.

Troubleshooting experience is a must.

Computer Literate.

Ability to use various electronic measuring instruments (digital multimeter, insulation

resistance meter)

OTHER INFORMATION

Local and International travel may be required from time to time.

A valid passport is required.

SA Driver’s Licence required.
